One person was arrested in Gori on charges of assaulting a police officer report.ge was informed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
"Law enforcers detained S.K., born in 2000, in Gori. He is accused of assaulting a police officer in connection with his official activities.
The investigation has established that the accused attacked Patrol Inspector V.M. while on duty on Stalin Avenue in Gori and injured his health," the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
According to the agency, the fact of assault on a police officer in connection with his official activities is being investigated under the first part of Article 353 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
The offense carries a maximum sentence of 4 to 7 years in prison.
