The Ministry of Internal Affairs, together with the Prosecutor's Office, opened a case of the murder of Dodo Gugeshashvili's son. The investigation charged one person arrested in connection with the case, for the premeditated killing of Grigol Gugeshashvili and the attempt to murder Dodo Gugeshashvili.
The man detained is a former convict born in 1975. He faces up to 16 years in prison or a life sentence.
The investigation revealed that on February 7, 2018, the man shot Grigol Gugeshashvili and killed him as for DoDo Gugeshashvili, he wounded her. Dodo Gugeshashvili escaped death as a result of timely medical care.
Police arrested the accused in Tbilisi.
