Officers of the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia arrested Samtskhe-Javakheti National Forestry Agency specialist for bribery.
The investigation revealed that the defendant demanded and seized money in exchange for issuing a fake certificate confirming the origin of a tree and illegally benefited from his official duties.
The investigation is in progress under article 338, part 1 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages from 6 to 9 years of imprisonment.
