Law enforcement officers have detained former policeman Amiran Janashia for illegally storing and carrying firearms.
Amiran Janashia was detained when he was on the move from Tbilisi to Senaki.
The detainee's lawyers say that they planted a gun on Janashia as he had an anti-government stance.
The detainee's relatives and opposition members are on the scene.
