"Illegal sawmill was discovered in Khashuri," the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture spreads information about the incident.
According to them, in the village of Tskhramukha, an unregistered sawmill and 28 illegally harvested round logs of unmarked spruce species were found.
"Officers of the Eastern Regional Division of the Department of Environmental Supervision of the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture revealed an illegal activity.
Since the fact contains signs of a criminal offense, the materials were sent to the Ministry of Internal Affairs for further response," the statement reads.
