According to the MIA of Georgia, police officers have detained a man identified only as L.B (DOB 1998) after he physically assaulted a transgender woman in Tbilisi. A verbal altercation preceded the assault. The victim was hospitalized for treatment.
The police are reportedly looking into the case. The offender faces a prison sentence of up to one year.
