"Law enforcers arrested R.A. in Bolnisi municipality, near the village of Tsurtavi. The police seized one kilogram and 500 grams of heroin during his personal search. An investigation is underway into the fact of illegal purchase and storage of a particularly large amount of drugs under Article 260, Part 6 of the Criminal Code of Georgia," mentions the statement of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The offense carries a maximum sentence of 8 to 20 years or life imprisonment.
