The Investigative Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia has charged two persons with the fact of counterfeiting money.
A search has been announced for one of the accused. According to them, the investigation is underway under Article 212, Part 2, Subparagraph "g" of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
"In order to obtain illegal material benefits, the defendants in the Kvemo Kartli region, a group of people, confiscated 38 counterfeit 50-dollar bills in the amount of 1,900 USD. The crime envisages imprisonment for a term of 7 to 10 years," the statement reads.
