Law enforcement officers have detained a person, known only as E.J. (DOB 1989) over robbery committed by an organized group of criminals in the vicinity of the Rikhe village, the Zugdidi municipality.
According to the MIA, another offender, identified only as E.G. (DOB 1983), has also been detained.
It was determined that the accused, known as E.G., and his accomplice, known as E.J., had planned to rob E.G.'s female acquaintance (DOB 1994). The police detained the offenders in the Zugdidi municipality shortly after the crime was committed. Law enforcement officers retrieved stolen gold jewelry as evidence.
The investigation of the case is underway. Perpetrators face 6 to 9 years in jail.
