The work depicting water lilies and a rose arch, a painting of one of the founders of Impressionism, Claude Monet, was sold at auction for $ 24 million.
It is noteworthy that this is the highest price ever paid for a Western painter in China.
The work was purchased by Chinese collector Ichien Liu, who chairs the company Sunline Group.
