Director of "Superman" and "Lethal Weapon" dies

According to his wife, the director died on Monday, July 5th. The cause of death is not named.

The films "Omen" (1976) and "Superman" (1978) brought popularity to the American film director.

"Superman" was nominated for three Oscars and received the award for best visual effects.
