Grand Prix of Warsaw Film Festival went to Shindisi - PHOTO

The Grand Prix of the 35th Warsaw Film Festival has been won by film Shindisi directed by Dito Tsintsadze, according to the Georgian National Film Center. The Award for Best Director went to Dimitri Tsintsadze. 

Sindisi tells us a story of a village having passed through a war and is based on real and contemporary facts. The film is about local peasants who are ready to sacrifice their own lives and soldiers fighting for survival.

The leading roles are played by Goga Pipinashvili, Dato Bakhtadze and Tamuna Abshilava. Shindisi film was submitted for the Academy Awards and is now competing for an Oscar.
