A concert and a movie screening dedicated to Gia Kancheli memory day is held in Amirani cinema hall today.
The movie about the composer is named “The Angels of Sorrow”. The filming was done in Berlin, Brussels, Baku, Antwerp and Tbilisi. According to screenwriter, Teona Jorbenadze, the movie tells the story of the artist for whom the freedom was the most important in all epochs.
The cast is: Gidon Kremer, Robert Sturua, Goga Alexi-Meskhishvili, Nino Ananiashvili, Nikoloz Rachveli, Giorgi Tsagareli and others
In line with the movie screening Georgian musicians will perform Gia Kancheli music on the stage of the cinema.
