21 thousand containers transited by BTK

In the eleven months of 2021, the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway carried 21 thousand containers. The Baku International Seaport Department spreads information about this.

According to reports, in 2017, when the railway line was put into operation, 307 containers were transported through it, and in the first 11 months of 2021, this number increased to 20,526.

Most of the transported goods are non-ferrous metallurgy and chemical products, as well as grain products, textiles, animal feed, and construction materials.

Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line was put into operation on October 30, 2017.
