As Georgia's Ministry of Agriculture has informed report.ge, as of today, Georgia has exported about 12,000 tonnes of peaches and nectarine in 2020, and the rate exceeds 2019 one by 45%.
The central countries where Georgia exports the fruit are Russia (64%), Armenia (31%), and Azerbaijan (4%).
As of July 15, Georgia exported 417 tonnes of peach and nectarine to Azerbaijan, and the exported volume equaled 7% of the entire fruit exports.
Georgia also exported peach and nectarine to Kazakhstan, Singapore, Ukraine, Moldova, and Slovenia.
Georgia boasts a high-quality and plentiful harvest of peaches and nectarine in 2020.
It exports about 800 tonnes of peaches daily.
