Azerbaijan provides Georgia with 16,0 tonnes of bitumen

Azerbaijan provided Georgia with 16,0 tonnes of bitumen, Georgia's Union of Oil Importers' April data.

In Jan- Apr 2021, 88,4% of bitumen imported to Georgia is from Azerbaijan. The rest 12% of bitumen is distributed on Iraq, Turkmenistan and Russia: 6% (1,1 thousand tonnes) - Iraq; 2,8% (0,5 thousand tonnes) – Turkmenistan, 2,8% (0,5 thousand tonnes) - Russia.

In Jan – Apr 2021, the oil bitumen imports equaled 18,1 thousand tonnes, exceeding the 2020 same period rate by 0,3 thousand tonnes, or 1,7%.

In Jan – Apr 2021, Azerbaijan exported about 39,966 tonnes of oil, costing 7,15 million USD.

The oil bitumen share equaled 0.11% in the total exports rate of the country.

In Jan – March 2021, Azerbaijan exported about 28,000 tonnes of oil bitumen at the value of 4,667 million USD. In January – March 2021, Azerbaijan reduced the bitumen production by 17,8%.

Azerbaijan is the largest bitumen provider for Georgia.
