Following the customs declaration, in January – August 2020, Azerbaijan exported 50,439 tonnes of nitrogen.
The exported nitrogen value was 7,365 million USD.
The nitrogen fertilizers totaled 0,64% of the non-oil sector exports from January to August.
Carbamide is made in the SOCAR Carbamide plant in the Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park.
The plant started operation on January 16, 2019. It boasts a capacity of 650-660 thousand tonnes of carbamide per annum.
70% of the product is for exports.
