Azerbaijan supplies 1.1 billion cubic meters of gas to Europe

Azerbaijan sold 5 billion cubic meters of gas abroad in January-March of 2021.

According to the operative data of the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan, this is about 39.5% more than in the same period last year.

In the first three months of this year, 3 billion cubic meters of gas (15.8% more than the same period in 2020) were exported to Turkey, about 1.1 billion cubic meters to Europe, and 784 million cubic meters to Georgia.

During this period, 27 million cubic meters of gas were supplied to the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline system.

Azerbaijan supplies gas to Europe via Georgia. Countries are partners in major regional and international projects such as the Southern Gas Corridor.
