Bill on minimum wage registered in the Parliament

Bill on minimum wage has been registered in the Parliament. The author of the draft law is Beka Natsvlishvili, the member of the Parliament, who explains that the purpose of the draft law is to determine the amount of the minimum wage in Georgia, which will guarantee the needs of the employees.

According to the draft law, the minimum wage for a full-time employee is GEL 320 and part-time salary is GEL 2 per hour. According to the project, full-time job is at least 120 hours per month and part-time is less than 120 hours.

According to the bill, the amendment should be effective from January 1, 2020.
