Both employment and unemployment rates decrease in Georgia

Compared with the fourth quarter of 2018, the unemployment level decreased by 1.4% and reached 10.9% in Georgia in the fourth quarter of 2019.

The number of population being economically active reached 61.7% of the ones, capable of working.

The population's activity level has decreased with the employment rate with 1.9% and 0.8%, respectively.

In the fourth quarter of 2019, the number of those hired included 50% of the total number of the employed.

The rate is 1.3% less compared with the same period of 2018.

The unemployment level is far lower in villages, and men observe a higher level of unemployment than women.
