"Euro 5" diesel standards postponed

The Government postponed the introduction of the Euro 5 standards for diesel in Georgia until 2021.

The new standard was due to come into force on January 1, 2020, but business associations were demanding postponing of the resolution.

According to them after the launch of Euro 5, Azerbaijan will no longer be able to supply fuel to Georgia, making Russia an unconditional leader on the local market.

Azerbaijan is already modernizing its factory, after which producing a new standard diesel fuel will be possible.
