Economic Minister says UNWTO session bears two messages

''We are proud today that Tbilisi is the city where world tourism leaders discuss the tourism future amidst the difficult challenge,'' Georgian Economic Minister Natia Turnava said, adding Georgia will say its word as well.

In Turnava's words, Georgia should be proud of hosting such a high-rank international event amid the novel coronavirus pandemic.

''Delegations from 24 different countries attend the country with safe, green and tourist potential, where they can attend the session personally after the pandemic has begun,'' Economic Minister Natia Turnava said.

Turnava says the event bears two important messages for Georgia: it is perceived as a country with the highest tourism potential, having achieved a lot in this field and can achieve more success globally.

''The other message is that our government is successful, doing its best to hold such high-rank meetings in Georgia,'' she added.
