EU to allocate 20,000,000 EUR for Georgia’s environmental protection

The European Union has allocated about 2.5 million EUR for Georgia as technical assistance to implement new programs for environmental protection.

Deputy Minister of Environment and Agriculture of Georgia Nino Tandilashvili met with Attaché at the EU Delegation to Georgia Mr. Alexandre Darras.

They discussed the details of the new EU program to be implemented in 2022-2027.

The program will include water resources management, improving air quality, waste management, reducing industrial emissions, developing ecotourism infrastructure in protected areas, and others.
