Exports increase in January-May by 24.4%

In January-May 2021, the foreign trade turnover of goods in Georgia (excluding undeclared trade) amounted to 5 019.4 million USD, which is 18.2 percent higher than the corresponding period of the previous year.

According to the National Statistics Office of Georgia, exports amounted to 1 538.1 million US dollars (24.4 percent more), while imports were $ 3,481.3 million (up 15.7 percent).

The negative trade balance in January-May 2021 amounted to 1 943.2 million US dollars and 38.7 percent of foreign trade turnover.
