External trade turnover drops by 16.8%

Georgia's National Statistics Office reports that the Jan – May external trade of Georgia (exclusive of non-declared business) equaled 4 206.2 mln USD.

The rate is 16.8% less than the one of January - May 2019.

Exports included 1 235.4 mln USD (16.2% less), and imports - 2 970.8 mln USD (17.0% less.

The negative trade balance equaled 1 735.4 mln USD and 41.3% of external trade turnover in January – May 2020.

The National Statistics Office will publish detailed data on external trade turnover on June 19.
