Georgia exports 25,070 tonnes of peach and nectarine

As of September 17, 2020, Georgia exported 25,070 tonnes of peach and nectarine, which is 88% more than in the same period in 2019, the Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia reports.

The income from these products was 69% higher than the previous year and equaled  21.036 million USD.

Export of Georgian peach and nectarine by country is as follows:

- Russia - 16,527 tonnes;

- Armenia - 7.492 tonnes;

- Azerbaijan - 567 tonnes;

- Kazakhstan - 112.9 tonnes;

- Ukraine - 111.5 tonnes;

- Poland - 111.5 tonnes;

- Moldova - 89.6 tonnes;

- Slovenia - 57.3 tonnes;

- Singapore - 0.24 tonnes;

- Qatar - 0.01 tonnes;

- Hong Kong - 0.06 tonnes.

The necessary documents' preparation follows the principle of "one window."

This process involves a group consisting of representatives of the phytosanitary, information, and advisory (under the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture) and customs services.
