Georgia had 3,276 visitors from Azerbaijan in May

In May 2020, Georgia hosted 3,276 visitors from Azerbaijan, National Tourism Administration of Georgia reports.

The administration says that the number of tourist visits equaled 26,503, which is 93.8% less than it was in May 2019.

The number of visitors dropped mostly from Azerbaijan among Georgia's neighbors.

Azerbaijan ranks fourth after Turkey, Armenia, and Russia.

In 2020, Georgia and Azerbaijan planned to develop a tourist package to offer to third countries jointly.

The parties delayed the collaboration due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.

Georgia also delayed the resumption of regular flights until the end of July, while it had planned to open its borders on July 1.
