Georgia's possible SEPA membership: Committee on Integration into Europe holds meeting

The Committee on Integration into Europe has held its second working meeting to discuss the possibility of Georgia joining the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA). Together with the banking sector, they focused on Georgia's membership opportunities and views on the country's chance to become a SEPA member. 

Maka Bochorishvili, the Head of the working group, provided meeting participants will all corresponding information by the MFA of Georgia. They also noted that the document on Georgia's possible SEPA membership is also set to be drawn up. 

The working group has heard the positions of the banking sector on Georgia's possible SEPA membership, with them deciding to get involved in the process actively.
