Georgia saw 3.8% economic growth in December 2019

Under the preliminary evaluation, the Gross Domestic Product of Georgia (GDP) has reached 3.8% in December 2019.

The average real growth was 5.2% in 2019.

The process industries, transport, and storage, retail and wholesale, vehicles and motorcycles repair, hotels, and restaurants showed the growth in December 2019. The decrease was detected in the construction sector,'' the National Statistics Office of Georgia reports.

Under the data provided by the Statistics Office, the cashflow of the VAT payer enterprises reached 8,671 billion GEL in December 2019. The growth is 14.4% than it was in 2018.

The Statistics Office will publish the précised data on March 20, 2020.
