Georgia to spend 105 mln GEL on Dzirula-Chumateleti road construction

The Roads Department of Georgia is working on the reconstruction of the 50-km road connecting Dzirula, Kharagauli, Moliti, Pona, and Chumateleti.

The Project includes two plans, each serving to renovate the 25-km section.

As part of the renovation, asphalt cover will be installed as well as bridges, drainage pipelines, and safety barriers.

The Black Sea Group company is carrying out the work on the first 25-km section and employs 250 citizens of Georgia.

Azerbaijani Accord Company is carrying out the second section and employing 68 Georgian and 11 Azerbaijani citizens.

The road section links the Kharagauli Municipality with the E-60 highway.

The Project is financed by the Asian Development Bank (ADB). Its total cost is 105 mln GEL.
