Georgia, Turkey, discuss resumption of flights

"Georgia connects Turkey with intense tourist movement and business relations as well. Turkish people in business arrive in Georgia and vice versa. The two nations are bonded firmly, with constant movement between the countries. Thus, it is of utmost importance to prepare for the safe resumption of flights and traffic movement," Georgian Minister of Economy stated after an online meeting with Turkish Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy.

As Turnava says, safety across the region is essential for Georgia's image as that of a safe country.

"We discussed the regulations and requirements to be met to resume communication between the countries. Turkish Airlines is ready for it," Turnava said.

She informed her Turkish colleague that Georgia is opening the tourism market for international visitors starting on July 1.
