Georgian government offers assistance to Agara Sugar company

''We will meet the demand for sugar on the market if we resume sugar production in Agara,'' Georgian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava said today.

In Turnava's words, the Georgian government can meet the local market's demand for sugar by almost 50%.

''We are in collaboration with investors and managers of the company. We are ready to start renovation and let the factory be in the form in two months,'' Turnava said.

''All this means that more than 500 people will get the job,'' Turnava added.

Natia Turnava and Agriculture Minister Levan Davitashvili plan to visit the enterprise in the nearest days.
