Georgian PM Gharibashvili: Our negotiations with Pfizer proved successful

Georgian PM Irakli Gharibashvili said that the World Bank provides Georgia with regular assistance for the vaccination process to run smoothly, and it has always been Georgia's leading donor. ''I am grateful to the bank for this,'' he said in his joint statement with Anna Bjerde, the World Bank Vice President for Europe and Central Asia. 

Irakli Gharibashvili said that at the meeting, the parties also discussed COVID pandemic repercussions and their successful cooperation. 

''Our negotiations with Pfizer proved successful. Also, we have received the COVAX platform vaccines _ the first batch of AstraZeneca and Pfizer. We now expect the WHO authorized Chinese vaccines,'' Gharibashvili stated.
