Georgian products required by China

According to Beka Mikaberidze, an official representative of the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in China, Georgian wine, especially red one is becoming more popular on the Chinese market. Mikaberidze said that China Import and Export Fair will be held in Shanghai. He explains that this is the largest platform in the world focused on imports. In addition to wine, Georgia has a great opportunity to export agricultural products, juices, alcohol, jams and pickles to China. Georgian honey and cheese are also popular. The Chinese were introduced to these products at the Shanghai Expo.

"We hope that in the nearest future we will export honey. They also like traditional cheese because it suits the native market and cuisineā€, Mikaberidze said.

Georgia signed a free trade agreement with China in 2017.
