Georgian regional hotels see halved daily room prices

Following the number of hotel room bookings in July 2020, the occupancy of hotels in Tbilisi equals 4%, in Batumi - 9%, and in the regions - 14%, the TBC Research weekly report reads.

As the document says, compared with the previous week, the workload in Batumi (+4 pp) and regions (+3 pp) has increased.

"On July 3-4, in some hotels in the regions, congestion ranged from 65% to 85%. In July, the average daily cost of hotels in the regions decreased by 50%. Relatively small discounts occur in Batumi,'' the report reads.

Domestic tourism's annual increase in non-cash expenses (in hotels) has improved than in the past two weeks (-79% and -84%) and totaled -76%.
