Imports decreased by 38.5% in April

The import rate in April 2020 showed a record drop, as it equaled 38.5%.

In April 2020, Georgia purchased the product of $458 mln from abroad, and the volume is less than the April 2019 rate with $286.8 mln.

External trade turnover amounted to $3.46 bln in Jan – Apr 2020.

The rate is less than in 2019, by 11.8%.

Exports included $1.0 bln, while the import rate totaled $2.46 bln.

The negative trade balance was $1.46 bln, i.e., 42.2% of the external trade.
