The Georgian Jibe Company will pay one GEL per kg of cucumber to the farmers in a lockdown-hit Marneuli municipality of Georgia.
As the Georgian Ministry of Agriculture reports, the Jibe Company will purchase the Marneuli-harvested cucumber.
The company has storage at Tsereteli Avenue, Tbilisi.
Yesterday, locals held a protest in Marneuli due to the lockdown. They protested the stiffened quarantine regulations adding they had a problem to sell the harvest.
The protest continued until late night when Marneuli Mayor Zaur Dargali and the government promised them to help sell the product.
