Land systemic registration begins in five Georgian municipalities

Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia said that five municipalities of Georgia begin a new phase of systemic land plots registration.

''Georgian citizens will not have to pay for it,'' Gakharia said.

The first phase will apply to 28 administrative units in five municipalities: Tetritskaro, Gardabani, Kareli, Gori, and Sagarejo.

Gakharia assessed the issue as 'extremely important' as 111,000 hectares 'will be put in order.'

"We ensure funding. No expenses will be mandatory, as Justice Ministry will solve the issue,'' he added.

In his words, the government has developed a three-year plan to complete the land registration.
