The National Statistics Office of Georgia update information on the minimum wages in Georgia, stating the minimum wages of a capable man equalled 206.1 GEL in March 2020.
The minimum wages increased by 7.1 GEL than in February 2020, while the wages increased by 24.9 GEL compared to the same period of 2019.
The minimum wages are as follows:
A capable man's minimum wages - 206.1 GEL
For the two-member family - 292.1 GEL
For the three-member family - 328.6 GEL
For the four-member family - 365.1 GEL
For the five-member family - 410.7 GEL
For six-member and more - 485.6 GEL
The minimum wages are calculated based on a particular living basket, defined on May 8, 2003, by the Health Minister of Georgia. It does not include communal taxes, transport fees and many other expenses.
