According to the Union of Oil Product Importers, in September of this year, 57.9% (10.2 thousand tons) of oil bitumen got imported from the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The next largest importer is Iraq with 33.5% (5.9 thousand tons), Turkey with a 7.4% share of oil bitumen imports (1.3 thousand tons), and Albania with a 1.1% share of imports (0.2 thousand tons).
According to the business union, the import of petroleum bitumen in January-September this year amounted to 90.5 thousand tons, 40 thousand tons, or 30.6% less than the same period last year (130.5 thousand tons).
Out of this, 59.8% (54.1 thousand tons) of imports come from Azerbaijan, followed by Iraq - 24.5% (22.2 thousand tons), Islamic Republic of Iran - 8.4% (7.6 thousand tons), Russia - 3.5% (3.2 thousand tons), Turkey - 2.3% (2.1 thousand tons), Armenia - 1.0% (0.9 thousand tons), United Arab Emirates - 0.2% (0.2 thousand tons).
