The Labor Inspection is preparing a new document for the tourism sector, the Minister of Health shares the information. According to Ekaterine Tikaradze, the new document regulating the industry considers the international requirements, which create a safe environment for both tourists and the country.
"We plan to provide them with these requirements, and depending on how well the sector can meet the needs, they will be economically active for a long time," Tikaradze said, adding that the government is trying to prepare for the summer season to receive tourists safely.
"Unhindered economic activity is vital for the state. Tourism is always a very positive thing for the Georgian economy; therefore, we want to have as many tourists as possible. However, the important thing is the readiness of hotels and restaurants to receive tourists. The new document will prepare the sector for that," Tikaradze said.
