Remittance inflows from Azerbaijan keep increasing

According to TBC Capital's weekly economic review, annual remittance inflows from Azerbaijan grew by 64% on 25-31 December 2020 and by 102% on 18-24 December. 

It is noteworthy that the growth of remittances from Azerbaijan to Georgia was at a two-digit indicator on 14-20 December 2020 and for the last three weeks of October only. For the entire year, they were at a three-digit indicator. 

Georgia has witnessed an 11.4% upward trend in overall remittance inflows on 25-31 December. In addition to Azerbaijan, remittance inflows have grown from North America and Ukraine, while a downward trend has been maintained from Russia. 

Remittances from Armenia to Georgia went down by 45% on 25-31 December 2020, while remittance inflows from this country in the week of 18-24 showed a 3% increase.
