According to TBC Capital weekly economic review, annual remittances from Azerbaijan to Georgia grew by 227% on November 24-30 and amounted to an increase of 81% in the week of November 17-23.
According to the document, remittance inflows in Georgia are highest from Azerbaijan and Ukraine. Annual remittances from Armenia have still shown a downward trend, amounting to -22% on November 34-30 and -49% on November 17-23.
Annual remittance inflows from Russia have gone down by 8%.
Georgia experienced an increase in remittances from the Middle East countries, including Turkey, from November 24 to November 30.
Overall remittances in Georgia have grown by 3% in the last week.
