Remittances from Armenia declining in parallel with Karabakh conflict

The war in Karabakh has been going on for 18 days. Remittances from Armenia to Georgia decreased during this period, while remittances from Azerbaijan continue to increase.

In September of this year, $ 7.43 million was transferred from Azerbaijan to Georgia. The amount transferred from Azerbaijan is 3.85% of the total remittances. On an annual basis, the figure increased by 270.79%.

As for Armenia, $ 1.22 million was transferred from this country to Georgia in September this year. It equals 0.63% of total remittances. The data is reduced by 1.94% on an annual basis.
