Russia leads for fuel imports

In July 2020, petrol and diesel imports to Georgia equaled 110,4 thousand tonnes. It is 11.5% (99 thousand tonnes) more than the June rate, and exceeds the 2019 July data (87 thousand tonnes) by 26,9%, the Union of Oil Importers reports.

Russia is leading among the countries that imported petrol and fuel to Georgia, as the volume imported from Russia equals 212,8 thousand tonnes (35,0% of the total imports).

Russia is followed by:

Azerbaijan – 114,0 thousand tonnes (18,7%)

Romania – 110,3 thousand tonnes (18,1%)

Bulgaria – 46,9 thousand tonnes (7,7%)

Kazakhstan - 26,2 thousand tonnes (4,3%)

Greece – 25,2 thousand tonnes (4,1%)

Turkey – 9,6 thousand tonnes (1,6%)

Austria – 2,6 thousand tonnes (0,4%)

Singapore – 2,0 thousand tonnes (0,3%)

United Arab Emirates – 2,0 thousand tonnes (0,3%)

Switzerland – 1,1 thousand tonnes (0,2%)

Hong Kong – 0,3 thousand tonnes (0,1%).
