Statistics of deported Georgian citizens

According to the National Statistics Office, the number of deportees reached 4,566 in one year. It turns out that more people go to emigration than return.

As for deportation cases, 1,788 citizens of Georgia were expelled from Turkey in 2018. Israel is second, with 812 deported, Germany is third with 531 people expelled from the country last year. Illegals are massively deported from France as well. 272 citizens were deported in the previous year.

Giorgi Gogishvili, the Director of the Migration Center notes that Georgian immigrants come across problems wherever they are living illegally.

As for the perspective of deported citizens in their homeland, the Director of the Migration Center thinks that engaging in business and learning new professional skills is the most optimal decision.
