The Kremlin on resuming flights with Georgia

The Kremlin hopes that all conditions will be created to resume flights with Georgia. Dmitry Peskov, Spokesman for the President of the Russian Federation, told the Russian edition of Interfax.

Speaking to Russian journalists, Peskov expressed hope that relations with Georgia would normalize. If the decision is made it will take at least 1 month to resume flights between Russia and Georgia.

According to the Agency, the process requires several procedures. First of all the Russian government, the Ministry of Transport and the Russian Civil Aviation Service must decide on the subject. After that airlines will have to review their schedules within 1-2 weeks, and allocate planes for new flights.

If the decision on air travel is made today flights will be resumed in early November. However, according to Peskov, it is unclear at this stage whether the decision will be taken.
