In 2020, Turkey provided Georgia with 100 million liras (GEL 46.9 million according to today's exchange rate) for military cooperation purposes.
The amount will be spent on the modernization of the Marneuli Air Base, according to the 2020 report of the Defence and Security Committee of the Parliament of Georgia.
Within the same grant, Georgia will get military equipment made in Turkey.
Georgia has assumed the responsibility to notify Turkey of details of top priority projects, and Turkey, on its part, will inform Georgia how much it will allocate out of the 100 million liras for a specific project.
The amount shall be spent within five years after its allocation.
