A 35-year-old Koba Tsurtsumia accused of killing his father was sentenced to pre-trial detention. The Zugdidi District Court made the decision regarding his case.
The investigation charges Koba Tsurtsumia with the second part of Article 109 of the Criminal Code, which stipulates premeditated murder committed against a family member in aggravating circumstances.
According to the investigation, in the village of Letsurtsume, Chkhorotsku Municipality, a young man killed a 62-year-old father with a cold weapon on the ground of disagreement and further injured himself. The incident happened four days ago.
The accused underwent surgery in Kutaisi hospital.
