"Senaki District Court fully shared the evidence presented by the prosecution and found the accused guilty of attempt to murder a person in aggravated circumstances," the Georgian Prosecutor's Office informed report.ge.
"On January 29, 2021, in Senaki, a defendant on the basis of gender, on the grounds of intolerance in order to kill a mother with a shotgun, inflicted life-threatening wounds on various parts of the body and fled the scene. The victim was saved as a result of emergency medical care.
Law enforcement officers arrested the accused and sentenced him to imprisonment as a measure of restraint.
The Senaki District Court fully found the accused guilty of the charges and sentenced him to 14 years in prison," the statement said.
